GAETAN BILLAULT 2006/2007
Born in France in 1982,Gaetan Billault graduated from the ESAAB in 2004 with an honours degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communications. After this he went directly to top Parisian agencies Crazybaby,and later Icone Paris. During his time in these agencies he worked on a variety of projects including web,event,and fashion,design. After a year and a half he left his capital for an other one- Dublin in Ireland. That was the begining of a new challenge for him. His ambition was to create his own experimental design practice,and he did it! A year on and he is still living in Dublin and working on a diverse range of projects. Combining illustration,graphic design and textiles he attempts to create a natural bond between these disciplines. He currently has a diverse freelance practice,and includes Irish club promoting giants,Bodytonic,among his clients. At the moment he is preparing for his first solo exhibition. The most important thing for him is to have freedom,passion and variety in his work,and most importantly a sense of fun.
One of his major interests is the possiblity of working with people all around the world,that is why this amazing fairtrade project;Leaf,appealed to him immediately.
